A website for Latter-day Saint families searching for a house of order
About Us
I was born in Pittsburgh, PA, however I was raised in Yorba Linda, CA where I grew up with my five brothers and sisters. I was first encouraged to write by my 7th grade English teacher. His belief in me was the influence I needed to continue writing for the high school newspaper and then later for BYU. I met my husband while studying journalism and secondary education at Brigham Young University, and we married in 1984. Today we have seven children ranging in age from 3 months to 22 years.
The idea to create OrganizedLDSfamily.com has been an idea for a long time. I'm a list maniac, and use Excel spreadsheets quite a bit. I've found this program to be one of the most useful programs for family organization. I enjoy keeping an organized home, writing, and motherhood, and have discovered organizational ideas along the way that have definitely helped our large LDS family. Ideas that have made my life easier and less stressful.
I believe that as we establish our homes after the orderly pattern of the temple, we will create an environment the Spirit can dwell in and a place that our families can find peace and shelter from outside influences. I hope you find something of interest within the pages of my website to help you do just that!
